Beeswax Food Storage Bag Workshop
May 14th | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Marcus Park Rec
Join Chelita for a hands-on, beginner-friendly sewing workshop where participants will create reusable beeswax food storage bags—a sustainable alternative to plastic bags for storing dry foods.
In this class, you’ll learn how to safely use a sewing machine (no prior experience required!) and how to coat fabric using beeswax and natural oils to create long-lasting, eco-friendly food storage bags. This project supports sustainability by reducing plastic waste and encouraging reusable solutions for everyday living.
All machines and supplies are provided, and each participant will leave with a finished project they can use at home.
