This event is part of our stitching Equity series hosted at Marcus Park Rec Center
Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly sewing class where participants will create their own reusable fabric grow bag perfect for herbs, flowers, or small plants! In this hands-on workshop, students will learn basic sewing and construction techniques while creating a functional project they can take home and use.
All sewing machines and materials are provided. No experience necessary. This class is perfect for beginners, plant lovers, creatives, and anyone interested in sustainability and DIY projects.

The rec center may require payment separate separately. Please see below.
Rec cards are free for Dallas residents ages 17 and under and 60 and over. All other participants, including both Dallas and non-Dallas residents ages 18–59, are required to purchase a rec card. Membership costs range from $5–$25 depending on residency and age.
