About the event
This in-depth Sewing Machine 101 class is designed for anyone who owns a sewing machine and wants to feel confident using the machine they already have. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or have a machine that’s been sitting untouched, this class will help you understand the basics and troubleshoot common issues.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines so we can walk through setup and operation together. A limited number of spots will be available for students who would like to use an instructor-provided machine.

Winding and inserting a bobbin correctly

Ideal for participants who do not have a machine or prefer to use a provided one. Learn Your Machine – Machine Provided Ticket This ticket is for participants who would like to use an instructor-provided sewing machine during class. You’ll learn sewing machine basics including threading, bobbins, needle changes, troubleshooting, and presser feet. This option is ideal for beginners who don’t yet own a machine or want guided practice before purchasing one. Ages 13+. Use a Brother lx3817
